The year 1985 is going to be Eddie’s year.

“Weirdo,” Robin Buckley says under her breath once, a sense of bewilderment in her tone as she follows Steve Harrington with her eyes all the way across the gym on a Thursday. “I know, right?” Eddie says, sitting next to her. They sit and stare at the marvel that is Steve Harrington in silence. Gym, turns out, is not so bad when you have good company, and in yet another twist of events, Robin Buckley is exactly that.

Between Corroded Coffin’s jam sessions, D&D meet-ups and impromptu study sessions with Buckley, time flies by quickly.

It is Eddie's year. Time goes on and there’s an actual possibility of Eddie graduating. Spring Break is right around the corner, then graduation will follow — And then a kid starts floating into the air right in front of him.

"Actually, if you'd like to meet her, too, she'll be home in a few more hours if you'd like to come back then...?"

“Oh, of course!" Dotty stands, setting her glass on the cluttered coffee table as the other two stand as well, Steve as she does and Eddie a moment later. “And don’t you worry about causing a racket, sweetheart, didn’t I tell you this building loves music? Why, I myself used to be part of the church choir—I was an alto, though I must admit to occasionally slipping into the higher bits. Goodness, that must have been twenty years now, but—oh, I mustn’t go on. You all have only just moved in, and here I am taking your time—”

HI VEGA FRIEND. 😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?

I have said this before, but I am not embarrassed at all by what I write and publish, but I will share another "Worm Moment" a Worment if you will. EVERY time I write a sex scene, I psych myself out really bad and my beloved @messessentialist has to talk me off a cliff because I'm like "What if it's BAD? What if I mess it UP?" Cause I am very fucking passionate about my boys and them fuckin' nasty so.

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

Oh god one of my favorites right now is most certainly:

"Better hold on tight, spider monkey." Eddie spoke, as the bike sputtered to life.

Steve simply couldn't hold back the laugh that escaped his throat. "Did you just fucking quote Twilight?"

He reveled in Eddie's responsive laughter. Eddie's hand brushing over Steve's that were clasped on the other man's waist. "Did you actually get that reference?"

I love that you have some norwegian bands on your song prompt list, but as much as i feel compelled to go for one of those, i'm not actually familiar with the actual songs, lmao rip me. The above is largely because logging on to this platform kinda makes me want to scream and/or cry, in perpetuity? And dealing with it's in-you-FACE reminder (as a platform) of engagement/lack-thereof/feeling-like-I've-overstayed-my-welcome-in-this-fandom is not a good feeling and I mostly just wanted to deleted this account and my ao3 and everything in one fell swoop—but, the POINT is that: I surrendered my passwords to some friends who offered to help, and let me make those choices about deleting everything and walking away in a clearer headspace, and that means in practice that I may or may not have scheduled more of this fic HERE, but I KNOW I scheduled it for ao3. So that link? RIGHT HERE? Will have the whole of the fic, either way. Because your prompt...ran away from me 🖤

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

okay so. depends.

if it's a oneshot i usually just have the idea and roll with it and write until there's something there? like i don't plan it super intensely. but if i'm planning something longer i will plan it and i tend to actually overplan? like right now with my WIP i'm working on atm i tried to write a super basic short outline of the plot and ended up being sooo rambly and generating new ideas etc etc. but yeah.

i'm VERY excited. working on my first steddie multi-chaptered fic YIPPEE!! it's gonna be a but i'm a cheerleader AU that's got a more serious undertone to it but is very heavily and obviously inspired by the plot of biac. that is all i'll say. i'm working on the first chapter rn and have the general plot planned out, haven't decided on if i will release it as i write it or wait until i have most of the chapters written out so idk how long it'll be till anyone gets to see it.
