Tender slow-cooked pork chops smothered in a creamy vegetable sauce.
Ingredients: 4 bone-in pork chops. 1 cup chicken broth. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1 tsp paprika. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1/2 tsp onion powder. 1/2 tsp dried thyme. 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper. . 2 tbsp vegetable oil. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced. 2 cups sliced mushrooms. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Put flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix them together. Cover each pork chop with the flour mix and shake off the extra. Put vegetable oil in a large skillet and heat it over medium-high heat. Make sure both sides of the pork chops are golden brown. Put the pork chops that have been browned in the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker on low and add chicken broth. If you need to, add more oil to the same pan. Add the mushrooms, onions, and bell pepper and cook them until they soften. On top of the pork chops and broth, put the vegetables that have been sauted. It should be on low for four to five hours, or until the pork is soft. Add the heavy cream about 30 minutes before serving. Put the smothered pork chops on top of rice or mashed potatoes and top with the creamy vegetable mixture. Add chopped fresh parsley as a garnish.
