These Turkey Zucchini Burgers are a nutritious twist on a classic favorite. The addition of grated zucchini not only adds moisture but also sneaks in some extra veggies. Perfect for a quick and healthy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1 cup grated zucchini, squeezed dry. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1 egg. 1 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp dried oregano. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 4 whole wheat burger buns. Lettuce, tomato slices, and condiments for serving.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, grated zucchini, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or pan to prevent sticking. Place the turkey zucchini burger patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks. While the burgers are cooking, you can lightly toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Once the burgers are cooked, assemble your burgers by placing lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a turkey zucchini patty. Add your favorite condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise, on top of the patty. Top with the other half of the bun, and your Turkey Zucchini Burgers are ready to serve! Enjoy your healthy and delicious turkey zucchini burgers!
