This is called a hydroponic system which is organic growing of food mostly urban farming where you use an NFT system (Nutrient Flow Tunnel) to give the food the food it needs to grow. I think it is by far one of the best ways to become an urban farmer. What's great about it- it recycles water and saves up to 90% of the water system.
