Ingredients: 2 portabella mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed. 4 slices of halloumi cheese. 4 burger buns. 1/4 cup olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and black pepper to taste. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Sliced red onion. Mayonnaise or your preferred burger sauce.
Instructions: Put the minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix them together to make a marinade. Make sure the portabella mushrooms and halloumi slices are evenly covered with the marinade mixture by brushing them on. Allow them to sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready. Put the portabella mushrooms that have been marinated and the halloumi cheese slices on the grill. The mushrooms should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side until they are soft. The halloumi should be grilled for two to three minutes on each side until it has grill marks and is slightly softened. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or two until they are warm and have grill marks while you cook the meat. Put a grilled portabella mushroom and a grilled halloumi cheese slice on the bottom half of each bun. Then put your burgers together. On top of the halloumi, put lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Cover the top half of the buns with mayonnaise or your favorite burger sauce. Then, put them on top of the burger ingredients to finish the burgers. Right away, serve your Portabella and Halloumi Burgers. Have fun!
