to be honest if there were a quad for a mix of red and pale then that's where they would fit best imo

or even just pale with red tendencies or vice versa

(( Yeah, I feel like you can tell that pale is where I’m most interested in, since I wrote the most for it. Not to mention that for quite a while now I’ve had it in mind that Mirrak has trouble distinguishing between flushed and pale feelings, so having a mix makes a lot of sense.

(( awwwww yeeeeeeaaahhh (also like I’m realizing as I write this that I didn’t talk a lot about the cuddling but, god, so much cuddling, regardless of quadrant.)

matesprits: endless blushing. I feel like just holding hands would be this awkward ordeal … nah, you know what? I think it’d be this case where if they’re not paying attention they can get sickeningly affectionate without thinking but the moment someone points out what they’re doing it’s like “us? holding hands????? you must be mistaken we’d never be that sappy” (mostly from Mirrak).

moirails: I feel like their moirallegiance would include a lot of trying to encourage the other to be more emotionally open and honest. Veidda tries to get Mirrak to actually face her emotions and cut out her self-destructive tendencies (good luck). Mirrak tries to boost Veidda’s confidence and encourage her to make friends and feel more comfortable in social situations. It could get kind of acrimonious at times; there’d need to be enough energy and commitment on both sides to overcome their natural tendencies to withdraw and just stop talking to each other when stuff got uncomfortable, I think. On a lighter note, I feel like they’d have a lot of fun hunting together.

auspistice: I can’t picture Mirrak as an auspistice, or Mirrak and Veidda having a torrid enough relationship to need an auspistice, so I think it would be Veidda auspisticing for Mirrak and someone else, as you suggested. Maybe Veidda o8< Mirrak and Kynara. I feel like a lot of Veidda’s role would just be to get the other two to step back and calm down enough to admit that maybe their reactions are out of proportion.

kismesis: I can only really imagine a pitch relationship being based around frustration at the other’s social flaws and lack of confidence. Kind of a “ugh you’re so brilliant why can’t you see that” situation. Maybe with some notes of “you have got to be faking, right? you have got to be saying all this self-loathing stuff just to piss me off; you can’t actually believe that.”

(( Hmm ... Well, olivebloods are considered lower nobility in this AU, so she’d be pretty skeptical about Veidda based on that. I don’t think she’d have any dislike of Veidda personally, but hemoflip!Mirrak sees most trolls as sea monster food and low-key has a goal of wiping out the entire planet to rebuild society from scratch sooooooo ... best to avoid her
