Jarek felt lucky to have the support of the Chateau behind him as he began his supernatural studies, but one of them in particular really helped get him sorted, and his name was Kalei Pekelo. In the short time Jarek took up shop at the Chateau, it seemed he checked in with Kalei every single day, whether it be for a walk around the grounds or just a simple chat. Jarek appreciated it.
After a night sharing dinner with one another, Jarek deemed it appropriate to help walk Kalei back to his room. if only to wring out a few more moments with his new friend.
“Hey, Kalei—” Jarek begins, stopping as they arried at their destination. “I just wanted to say, well... thanks for everything. You’ve been so helpful to me since the moment I got here. Seriously. You saved my life when you brought me here that day in the woods... I don’t even know how I could repay you.” he chuckles, very aware of how much smaller he felt despite them both basically being the same height.
In the low light of the corridor, the witch looked especially attractive, the warm light draping his features, their faces far enough to remain in their comfort zones but just close enough to touch... maybe...
