Whilst she had only been in Wildemount for a few weeks, Gabriella had been free from the depths of hell for quite some time now and had managed to accrue quite the collection of things. While she preferred items such as jewellery and money, she also took pride in her collection of valuables that perhaps didn’t look to be so. One of these such things was her book collection, she’d acquired many first editions of old titles, classics and the likes. She enjoyed reading, but preferred to know that she had a solid investment that would only grow in value. It was one of these volumes that she was on her way to collect, stepping into the old bookshop and hearing the bell tinkle above her head, she decided to take a look around before heading to the front desk to collect her order. She walked the narrow aisles, looking at the spines intently as she pondered what she should like to read. She never actually opened the books she collected, merely storing them away carefully in a safe place, but she did quite enjoy reading human fictions, especially stories they had written involving her own kind. A title took her interest and she reached up to pluck it from the shelf, reaching up on her tiptoes as even in her stiletto heels she wasn’t quite tall enough to reach properly, she managed to pull the one she wanted from the shelf, alongside another five or so books that tumbled down, loudly clattering around her, one of them hitting her rather ungraciously on the head. “Oh... Oh dear...” she said quietly, rubbing her head gently as she looked around at the mess, before lifting her eyes to meet with those of another who had joined her in the aisle.
