Noodles
I was stuck nursing the Vellpepper yesterday and heard a series of concerning noises. [chair being pushed across the kitchen floor] [something rattling] [a very loud CRUNCHING]
Vellatra Jr eventually came around the corner holding an open box of plain, uncooked elbow noodles, which she was happily munching on. No she won't eat the French toast or the loaded scrambled eggs or the pizza we've cooked for her, but dry uncooked pasta? Oh yeah that's the good stuff.
I was still stuck nursing so she was able to run around the house with this noodle box for awhile. I keep finding more stashes of noodles here and there now... fortunately my mother-in-law still doesn't seem to have noticed (they were her noodles) 🤣
Trying to get the hospital bag in order and getting so HYPED. Also just kinda blown away at the size of these baby things. Like. Vellatra Jr used to wear this stuff. But HOW? HOW DID SHE FIT? The tininess of a newborn never fails to surprise me, no matter how many times I've seen a newborn 😆 😍
Hell Hath No Fury Like a Mother Whose Landline Gets Called Right After She Puts Her Baby To Sleep
What are you doing! You'll wake her up! I'll kick you in the shins!
So Vellatra Jr. tends to sleep with both arms pointing up, elbows bent squarely.... Lumber Jack and I started joking that she looked like the Great Cornholio, and it just escalated from there.
I'm having way too much fun doodling on this onesie 😆
Another fun thing I've discovered about parenting: once you have a baby, regular life suddenly becomes a speedrun.
(Imagine if you will, the "one minute left" jingle from the Mario games.) Oh crud! Baby's waking up, and I still need to make formula, eat lunch, go to the bathroom, let the dogs out, answer three texts, and oh snap someone's at the door I have to get the dogs back in.... Oh no she's screaming....
Thank-you note doodle
Little doodles I did in the baby book/journal I'm doing up for Vellatra Jr.
