@sonhadoraativa except in the process of being so dismissive you ignore the trauma inherent in incestuous relationships. the human brain recognizes that incest is wrong and it takes a toll. people who are victims and perpetrators of incest have damaged love maps, and that makes them vulnerable to abuse and manipulation in other circumstances. it puts them at risk of developing dependency disorders, mood disorders AND personality disorders and that's just what it does to you psychologically

THANK YOU!!! i have a stepfather. yes, my biological dad is still my father and plays the primary role in my life, but my stepdad raised me too. he’s still one of my dads. so when people insist that family is only a blood thing, and that “non related” family members can fuck, it not only offends me on behalf of adoptive families, but also like? on a more personal level because i have a step family and i consider myself to be a part of that family and to be related to them.
