Hi Everyone On the 4th August (yes, that’s less than a month to go now!) I’ll be taking on the Prudential Ride London - this means cycling a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics. One of the great things about this event is the amount of money that it will generate for well deserving charities. After a great deal of thought i have chosen to support Prostate Cancer UK and i hope that you would also like to help me to raise funds for this very good cause. Boy there was a lot of people out cycling this morning, well done us! I think everyone was taking advantage of the small window of pleasant weather. Well that was a wet ride, https://www.strava.com/activities/2423615234. But like they say ‘There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing’ and as a keen cyclist i have an abundance of clothing for every conceivable weather condition and now i have the final missing piece @veloskin.cc chamois cream, which was the standout product in last nights deluge. Where the waterproof coat, gloves & over socks eventually reached their natural saturation point, the chamois cream just kept on working. Back on it this weekend with two days of 50km plus riding, in very different conditions. Saturday was difficult with its wind and rain (remnants of storm Hannah) and today with clear skies if not a little breezy was easier on the legs. Need to keep at it now though as I have the @velo29_events - Tour of the Pennines approaching sooner than I realised and I'm starting to feel undercooked.
