“Master Oz!”
Echo stood there, unmoving, her hands balled at her sides and her feet unable to close the distance between them. While she had been able to say her final goodbyes with a smile, this unexpected chance to say hello again left her dazed as if in a dream.
Seeing him, her heart leapt in a way she rarely felt before. Joy mixed with a tinge of sadness. Sadness because she had not been able to stop Noise from harming his uncle, and joy because Oz was the one who had taken her to her first festival and bought her-- Echo, not Noise -- her first present. Meeting Oz had changed her. It was strange, how when she was around him, emotions she was not used to feeling began to stir inside her like it did now.

Out of all the people in this city he had to spot him. The blonde was the same color as his sister who attended his academy, and was pretty recognizable. They had gotten into various arguments for the brief amount of time they were together on their endeavor. Leo wasn’t around to get in the middle if the two began to debate.
If he knew something that he was unaware of then it wouldn’t be a waste of time but still..
“ ... hey “ His tone of voice was quieter than his usual way of speaking.

🎼 ‘If you see a shooting star, it means God will grant you a wish.’ The instrument glanced up at the sky. Filled with clouds, there was not a twinkle or glimmer in sight. Only the occasional peek of a shy moon. ‘And if you’re lucky, he’ll give you what you need.’ Her eyes fell to the ground. The cracked asphalt was covered in stars of all shapes and sizes, shooting off in each and every direction.
‘ Not what you want.’
The visage of the man who spoke those words were faint in the records of her memory, a wisp-like figure in the haze of pianists who played but a few notes. A tickle of fingers against her waist, a light giggle that stayed in her throat, songs that were promised but never came to be. The piano wondered why she thought of him now, of all times. Maybe it was because she lonely, despite the city surrounding her with a countless amount of people. Maybe she needed some whimsical words to give her some hope.
So she thanked him, this mysterious man she wasn’t sure she remembered from a dream or from reality, for inspiring her to do this. Satisfied with what she had accomplished with an empty patch of playground and a box full of chalk left behind, it was time to make her wish.
Or she would have, if someone hadn’t stumbled upon her embarrassing display. A shriek of notes, like hands slamming down on piano keys, erupted from her throat as she tried to push the stranger away.

Right, so, this city was kinda fucked up. It wasn’t all that bad for Lavi, though, all things considered: he had left a world full of useless wars to come to a place that... Well, it was doubtful it was peaceful ( nowhere could be peaceful enough ), but it made the Bookman Junior feel definitely better.
Maybe he could have a nice life there, as weird as it sounded, trapped in a city being manipulated by other, higher people. Wasn’t that almost like how the Order worked?
❝ This place is pretty crazy, ain’t it? I mean, I wouldn’t mind getting used to it. ‘Sides, they give us a lot of nice stuff and different places to go. Is it really that bad? ❞ Suddenly starting conversation while waiting for the train? Classic. But it would be good to hear somebody else’s opinion about it.
Still not grasping the concept of personal space and approaching others a bit too strongly, Kinu grabbed the boy’s arm, hoping he’d help her figure a mystery out that’d been on her mind for a while.
"Hey, hey, you! Uhm, so, I know I’m probably late but I’ve heard of this thing called Hellaween and I’m not sure what it is... but it seemed fun!”

Many were seemed fated to come and go to the whims of the scientists, not even the peculiar entity she had become acquainted with back home, it would seem. Certainly it was not impossible, having witnessed several others from where she hailed trickle through like a river over the course of time, only to leave and returned anew. For such a reason, it was all too tempting for her to trek behind in silence, careful that carmine heels would not clack too loudly upon the flooring as she stalks her metaphorical prey.
And, without further hesitation, the elder Baskerville reaches outward in order to snare the contractor so, that of a familiar scene unfolding as she pulls him uncomfortably close.
