Thanks to the ever reliable Austin Town Hall for posting about this Vemberlain 7". It has been over a year since we've posted something from the great French label Hidden Bay Records. Persica 3 (Paris) was the last band mentioned from the label, and if you haven't listened to them, do so after listening to Vemberlain (Toulouse, France).
The two songs here have a completely different vibe. The first song, "Your Memory Has Been Magnetised" has a later-era Parquet Courts kind of groove to it, while "Candle Wick Without the Wax" mines indie pop sounds mapped by bands like The Bats.
According to the Bandcamp page, members of the band "have played or are currently involved in other projects such as Cotton Aerials, Noir Audio, No Drama and Docks". The page also states that "these two songs place Vemberlain in the nebula of Veronica Falls, Real Estate, The Bats and other timeless pop pourveyors."
