"Of course. I brought my ovanight bag jest in case."

Sure, he had his own place, but it didn't have Riot or the twins. He was unsure if the twins' place could fully accommodate for another person to move in, but given how often Vendra asked him to say, like that night, he always made sure to pack some extra clothes and toiletries in his cruiser.

Ella lo sabe, solo se hace la triste ilusión de que quizás el aparezca en la.puerta de su casa y pueda darle de nuevo vida a sus sueños.

La esperanza la mantiene alerta, la fe inquebrantable, pero sus lágrimas la despiertan a la dolorosa realidad y se da cuenta que esperar es en vano.

No hay mensajes, no hay mañanas, ni llamadas, menos visitas sorpresas.

Para ninguno de los dos hay algún resquicio de esperanza.

Rico crawled along the wall, his wings buzzing a low drone as he did so.

He felt tired. He's been awoken twice throughout the day and has had to fend off two others for his territory.

One was a pesky Fly who likely didn't even notice he had roamed on his terrain. All it took was a single round to chase him off.

But the other...

Rico narrowed his eye. That carnivorous plant had nearly gotten him, but Rico's flight advantage took him out of reach to safety. The face of the assailant glared up at him, the two vines snarling and chomping at nothing.

The firefly robot hummed to himself in amusement. That foolish plant. It was meant to be rooted to the ground anyway. Just because it could walk now, didn't mean it was at his level.

Rico chuckled mechanically and stretched. The sun was lowered now. Night fell across the Biodome through the glass ceiling. Regardless of how tired he was, he couldn't go to sleep. He had to keep a lookout to make sure no others impeded on his space.

Diligently, he crawled across the wall, alert in all his senses. Hearing, sight, slight vibrations to be picked up by his antennas.

He paused, and his vision zoomed in to a crackling campfire.

Four figures were down in the clearing.

Three were chatting amongst themselves, and he could pick up a few sentences. 'Devising a cure takes a while.' 'Willing to help out however I can! It's what Surge and Max would do...' and 'We finally have a chance.'

But... they didn't matter. Rico was focused on the fourth figure. A silhouette that reflected the fire of its bulky frame, showing of its blue coloring.

Rico's wings spread. It... wasn't his species, but... this feeling went beyond that. That fourth figure was so familiar, and he couldn't help but feel mournful, relieved and longing all at once.

Why was that?

He took off and hovered as close as he dared to. With the humans and other possible plants at large, it wasn't so much.

Still, he began to show off his glow in a soft, flashing pattern.

...He hoped she would see it.
