Hmm, what could be the reason for alt-Calliope's eyes to be hollowed out? Does that mean she's still dead regardless of dominating over Caliborn? Did something happen to cause her to lose her eyes, maybe?

still not totally clear on why regular calliope’s eyes are hollowed out, haha. but yeah i think she’s definitely dead - i can’t remember if it’s just been implied or outright stated but anyway in all probability she was offered the same Choice caliborn was by her denizen and chose sacrifice over conquest.

yeah that's the hero of light luck shit. (well, depends on the class. rose shouldn't be able to affect luck directly she can just see the path to fortunate outcomes). but yeah aranea manipulating the clock was a light thing, not a psychic thing - it also probably wasn't as direct as vriska's abilities. sylph seems to be a passive class, and aranea is just very experienced and good at understanding and exploiting the way things will tend to work out for her. "As one gifted with the aspect of light, certain outcomes will 8e prone to 8r8king in my favor." who even knows the extent of her abilities - vriska had to steal luck from others, implying she had a limited supply, but aranea's luck may only be limited to purposes of healing, and her millions of sweeps of practice have shown her how to make use of that as broadly as possible.

it looked like aranea was controlling the damaras directly, otherwise the middle vriska step probably would have been shown. plus vriska isn't on board with aranea's plan so she probably wouldn't help her do anything that didn't involve like... dying again and giving vriska the ring
