For those wondering what you can do to help Venezuela during these times:

The most important part, inform yourself using different media outlets, reading a lot of different testimonials, reading the history of US interventions on Latin America and all around the world. Don't let them tell you how to feel, you must decide for yourself and you must use your critical thinking.

Know that not all Venezuelans are the same and don't expect them to react the same to this. Not all Americans voted for Trump, so it's only logical that not all Venezuelans have the same opinion. Keep that in mind.

Double check any fundraisers and donation links in case they are scams.

Ask yourself what abilities you have and what you can do with them. If you are a lawyer or a historian, then share your analysis about this. If you're an artist, create art to share what is happening (comics, infographics, whatever you can). Create art on the streets if you can, create posters, hang the Venezuelan flag, share your support if you are to do so. Every little act of rebellion is bigger than you think.

Follow the news and the reports.

If you're not at risk, protest against what is happening. No matter the country. Share the news with the people around you, educate them on the conflict and make sure to have as many people as you can speaking about this. Don't let this go silent.

If you're in the United States, call your representatives and pressure them. Trump was breaking US laws too. You can also vote every chance you get for candidates that do not want to invade Venezuela.

Voice your opinion on different social media.

Be prepared to donate so people can get food, water, medicines and other necessities. We will lose power and have water shortages and it's going to be hard for us to get the medicines we most need. Also, be prepared to pay for therapy and counseling for Venezuelans if you can. Many people will need it to process the current events.

You might not have noticed it, but last week the number of undocumented immigrants in the United States surged by 350,000.

Don’t worry, an army of gangbangers and other criminals didn’t charge the border. Rather, President Donald Trump simply decided to turn 350,000 legal immigrants into illegal ones.

Trump has been fearmongering about an “invasion” of unauthorized immigrants for years. Since retaking the White House, he has attempted to manifest those fever dreams into reality through a “de-documentation” campaign. This is not an immigration agenda that targets criminals; it’s one that criminalizes immigrants who have followed the law, by stripping them of their existing visas and work permits. The 350,000 people de-documented last week are Venezuelans who had permission to live and work in the United States — subject to screening and other conditions — under a program known as temporary protected status. TPS was created in 1990 to shield immigrants from countries experiencing war or other catastrophes that make it unsafe for them to return home. Venezuelans are not Trump’s only target. This month, the administration also revoked temporary protected status for more than 9,000 Afghans.... Many had assisted the U.S. military at great personal risk. They will become vulnerable to deportation in[...] Trump sometimes insists he supports immigration so long as it happens legally.... But in fact, he has revoked the legal status of roughly 500,000 people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela who came into the United States during the Biden administration with advanced legal permission (and an American sponsor!).

This Latina woman is getting a quick lesson in, "Yes, you're light skinned, but you're not White skinned". As an Afro-Latina myself (my mother), I feel for those Latinos who did not vote for Trump, because now, because of the "minority majority" of their groups, the "good ones", the non-racist ones, have to pay for the others decisions. The sister in the video is right, stop making these #TikTok videos of y'all crying all over the place, because it giving "White woman tears" as far as I'm concerned, but "White women tears" are backed-up by this White supremist American system, and "Latino or Black tears" still gets us, shot, hunted, beaten, hosed, pepper sprayed, profiled, and marginalized. 60+ % of Latinos went against the warnings of Black people, mainly Black women, and now the day of your reckoning is upon you. I had to tell my mom to stop getting upset about what's going on, and that [They] made their bed, and now they will lie in it. This will all one day pass, and come next time when you Latinos are faced with a choice between humanity and White supremacy, let's see how well you remember this moment. It's beautiful to see people from all over the world coming together to support Venezuela during such a heartbreaking time. Unfortunately, Venezuela wasn't prepared for a disaster of this magnitude.

As a Venezuelan, I've been feeling powerless because I can't be there to help in person. The only way I can contribute is through donations and sending money back home. Even so, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you're doing. Reading your kind messages has brought me so much comfort, and today I feel a little more at peace.

That said, we still need to keep supporting Venezuela. There's still a long road ahead, and so much work remains to be done.

I know I haven't posted anything about my music lately, but with everything that's happened, I just haven't had the strength to share my upcoming releases. I'll be back this Friday. Just give me this week to work through my emotions.
