Squeenix either fired or drove off anybody in their employ who could write a decent story with decent characters is what happened but I'm biased bc that team was by far my fave Square team, they did FFT and Vagrant Story aka the two best written games Square ever put out

lmao I never understood why people were so enamored with him?? like all of the “NATE FOR COMPANION” stuff was just dnw for me, even tho I was fine with his cameo.

I was actually really bummed out that I didn't get his cameo despite the fact that he survived the attack in my PS3 Awakening game

then I found out that it was due to a bug and apparently the only way to get it is to have him in your final party when you go fight Mother :\

(which jacks up my flow because I like to have Sigrun as my rogue and I only ever stack mages. Anders is my ranged DPS/CC dude so I have like no use for Nate)

I don’t understand how people can miss something like this but ESPECIALLY when you consider the origin story for a Tabris. They practically slap you in the face with the human/elf power imbalance that exists in that world, how can you miss it??

they think Ali-sama belongs with Cousland-chan period and no one else should be able to marry him and ppl with other characters are just whiny and entitled or something

I mean serious so many of these witty retorts boil down to "play a Cousland"

they never even question why the system is set up the way it is (ofc not, it benefits them)

but that's white privilege, having the character that most represents you being considered default and having all the choices possible
