Venmo is a wild app. One second you’re paying your friend back for lunch and the next you see the note on an old friend’s venmo transaction says “maternity photos” and now you’re spiraling thinking about what this person—who you haven’t spoken to since high school—has been up to all these years. Are they still with the same person they were dating back then? Statistics would say probably not but like what happened to that relationship? Who are they with now? How did they meet them? How’s it going? Did they get married? Must be going well enough if they’re paying for MATERNITY PHOTOS. But what if they are with their high school sweetheart? That would be so cute! Aw well shame I will never find out because it would be too weird to reach out and say “oh hey long time no see but I saw you pop up in my venmo feed and wanted to know what you’ve been up to…”
