I realize the bar is really in hell when I actually feel happy, like almost celebrating, because they finally acknowledged that Dylan is not okay in the middle of this bunch of happy idiots who are completely neglectful?
It feels like EVERYTHING is more important than the literal teenager who’s been through more shit than I even want to list!?
(yes, the blonde boy walking up front with his hands in his pockets and obviously looking downcast is Dylan)
And Mary Jane comes with this virtue-signaling crap, talking about Eddie and children (Obviously focusing on Dylan), but I never once saw her even trying to be some kind of adult figure he could actually trust?
Someone who would make him feel safe enough to open up, to vent, without fear of being judged or abandoned.
In reality I don’t even remember her trying to approach Dylan in the slightest.
Like even Paul did more of that??
(I'm pretty sure there's more but I don't care enough about Paul to look for it)
try to defend the child by saying the least? doesn't count.
(And no, I'm not ignoring Paul's stupidity in this scene)
and if you don't see the Venom symbiote talking to Dylan but rather Mary Jane, we really have very different interpretations
Anyway, this isn't a direct criticism of Mary Jane, this is more of a venting that you can literally ignore.
(I really hope this The Amazing Spider-Man/Venom death spiral is a breath of wind in our tired faces)
