Digimon Adventure (1999)
Venom Myotismon (VenomVamdemon), recently I got back into Digimon Masters Online and this is my new partner digimon
I just need to take this out of my chest
In the finale of Adventure 02, all the children were trapped in ilusions based on their desires/ambitions except the original children. I would kill to see in what illusion Koushiro would be trapped.
Anyway, Daisuke frees everybody and resists to the attack because he doesn't have ambitions or aspirations... which is wrong because we all know that he wanted Hikari to notice him and wanted to be more respected by the others...
But the point is that Daisuke, in the same episode, acknowledges that he has one ambition: to defeat Venomvandemon.
Okay... but let's think about this. IF DAISUKE HAD AN AMBITION, THEN COULDN'T VENOMVANDEMON USE THAT AMBITION TO CREATE AN ILLUSION THAT COULD TRAP DAISUKE?
What if that actually happened? What if what we saw was only Daisuke's illusion? What if the children are still day-dreaming, Venomvandemon won and conquered the worlds?
Perharps this was the true ending for the Adventure timeline! The villain won and the world was doomed! But nobody ever knew because we took Daisuke's illusion as truth!
I know Digimon can be very dark... but that would be the darkest event of the entire franchise!
