#FWUK #TRAX Volume 3

Good Street Records is set to release the 3rd instalment in a series of compilations showcasing producers from the UK. You probably won't recognise any of the artists on the EP but it just goes to show the dedication of the label in finding new raw talent within the nation's shores. To call the footwork scene in the UK under-developed is an understatement and the work that they do is instrumental in bringing together a disparate scene. Catch the free download featuring Ventah, Aaron Patrick, Crypticz and loomcore on 8th April.

The highlight from the release is Oneness by Aaron Patrick. Wasting no time in getting to business, right from the start ephemeral synths rise into the stratosphere, the barking toms chase them in a ludicrous game of hide and seek at 35,000 ft. Don't worry though, these beautiful melodies won't fly away, everything is firmly attached with a submarine bassline which I suspect is  anchored somewhere deep in the marinas trench. The result is a perfect choreography, restrained but with a natural movement that is incredibly difficult to recreate.
