Her Master's Voice - Nina Conti (2012)

Ventriloquist Nina Conti takes the vent puppets of her mentor Ken Campbell on a pilgrimage to Venthaven; the last resting place for puppets whose owners have passed. 

Along the way she reminisces about the man who saw and nurtured her talent, and whether or not his passing means the end of the road for this art form; for her. 

It's a bit self-indulgent, what with Nina creating dramatic conflict by talking to herself, but still funny, fascinating and engaging enough to forget that and just go with it. 

A look into a mad world often deemed a dead one and a glimpse into the mania that was Ken Campbell. Great stuff.
