Not for the Prices Verse but like
I know general interpretation is that Venti is an irresponsible god who goes who knows where for his long naps and gets zero respect bc of his lack of involvement in governing Mond.
For the Prices Verse I made it so that Venti had zero choice in when he napped and woke up to explain this.
But for canon, looking at what Venti does for "Stanley", it actually makes me wonder if Venti actually does do his job. Its just that people don't see it as him doing his job because it is the smallest of things. Like cheering people up, telling grand tales, making music, helping find lost pets. Things he does more for the little people.
You don't expect a ruler god to do that at all.
So Venti does not fit their image of a god, and so, they don't ever realise their god constantly walks amongst them as a friend, regardless of how long he's been gone from the city.
In the end, this fits in with what he had originally been: a tiny wind sprite helping cheer his friend up. Little things rather than grand miracles and works. Those, he only does when situations are dire. Otherwise, he does small things that the aristocracy and the church won't notice or pay mind to.
