working in a flower shop sure has its perks. there were two reasons, really. one being: you’re responsible for your own time, meaning you can do whatever you want to do as long as there are no customers in line. the other being: you see HIM every. single. day.
your co-worker and boss, tighnari, saw you walk pass by his flower shop one day, then asked if you would like to work with him. of course, you declined. to be fair, you were kinda running late on an important morning interview for a 9 to 5 job you would probably hate in the long run. but hey! you needed an income, right? it should be fine.
“wait! stop!” the man was tired, you can see it in his face when you finally turned around to see who was the owner of the voice you’ve been hearing behind you. you actually thought he was being robbed or something with the way he was shouting a lot. to your surprise, however, you were met with the loveliest pair of eyes you’ve seen in your life. exaggerating? yeah, some people wouldn’t understand unless they’ve seen him!
“uhmm.. do i know you? i’m kind of in a rush right now..”
he straightened his back as he’s already done chasing his breath from all the running he did. why did he even run in the first place? it’s not like you were running away from him. this guy’s weird, you thought.
“are you perhaps interested in working in a flower shop?”
work? flower shop? okay, first of all, you don’t know the guy. second, you’re already in the middle of attending an interview for a job that could secure you a large salary (if you worked hard in the future that is), and third..
“wha- i think you have the wrong person—”
“i think i found the perfect person, actually..”
you gave him a small laugh at how absurd and sudden his responses were. seriously! why you?!
“sorry but i have an interview in like 30 mins–”
“then don’t go.”
the next thing you knew, you were standing behind the counter of a lively flower shop with customers overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the plants put up for sale, waiting for the one who hired you so suddenly to give the customers their packed orders.
he basically managed to make you agree with this request of his. and when you asked him “why me?” he only pointed at your bag, specifically on a flower pin you attached one day—decided it was your favorite and lucky charm. “i wanted to hire someone who likes plants as much as i do. i’ve seen you walk by my shop multiple times. you always seem to look, maybe stare a bit, if you had time i suppose, at the flowers i have.”
“here you go! thank you for purchasing!” and now here you were, handing the order of the last customer of your 5th week here. was it considered stalking? not really. were you amazed he remembered you? absolutely. who knew you’d catch feelings for him in the long run? you didn’t know whether he liked you too in that way, but with the way he smiles at you says something.. right?
you sighed and looked at tighnari for a moment—he was wearing half of his hair up and you thought he looked soooo good with that cute gardening apron of his. ahh yes.. you were losing your mind. why did he have to look this good?! who even allowed him to look this good?! i’m sure if anyone was to ever be in your position that day, they wouldn’t have possibly declined his offer. i mean.. how could you?
“is something wrong?” tighnari looked at you, finally giving his attention your way. you were caught off guard by this because he would usually just do his job until it was closing time, only stealing glances at you seldomly (or so you thought). “..no. what are you doing though?”
tighnari only went back to what he was doing—from the looks of it he was wrapping a bouquet of roses. your heart skipped a beat when you saw what the flowers were, but didn’t want to give it any mind (in case you end up getting your hopes up again..)
“do we have another customer? did i miss any orders?” you checked the list of those who ordered in advance and got even more confused when you looked up and saw him in front of you, bouquet in hand.
“these are for you.. you reminded of these flowers—well.. uhmm.. actually you remind me of peonies instead of roses because they are more—”
“CUT !”

“tighnari please follow the script, we beg of you..” — your obviously tired director.
“peonies just feels more accurate in describing y/n.” tighnari would argue.
tighnari could come off as stern and blunt the first time you see him but he’s actually very gentle with his words.
he likes to check every detail in the story. “this flower is poisonous. who wrote this in here? i think we need to change that, actually.”
will also cross his eyebrows in confusion and concern whenever he thinks what you were about to do could potentially harm you and would confront the director about it. he’s very protective of you.
whenever you guys shoot at nighttime, he would always carry a heat pack and offers you his jacket along with it. “you could catch a cold.” he would say.
you and tighnari rehearse lines together. it’s basically a rule between the two of you. it was his suggestion ever since your first chemistry reading with him. he would tell you it was easier that way (he just wants to be close to you and hear your voice all the time, we get it tighnari!)
in between breaks, he would give you small snacks to munch on with cute little notes of encouragement sticked on the back. and he acts like what he did wasn’t romantic or something. he would say it was to “boost morale” but ohh the staff knew how he really felt for you.
one time the director found you sleeping on his lap after the little picnic he suggested you guys have after your afternoon shooting. he motioned a quiet “shh” to the director so that you would get the rest you deserved.
the director fortunately told the others to come see you two and took some (lots) of pictures.
you and tighnari eventually saw the photos and you were absolutely embarrassed about the position you were in. if you looked at tighnari, you would see him smiling slightly while looking at it.
if you heard a staff asking him what he thinks of you, he would say: “hmm.. i would say she’s nice to work with. she’s kind and respectful. she also backs me up whenever i point something to the director. so i’m thankful for her.”
bonus: you both agreed to work together on more upcoming projects in the future! he presented the idea to you and both of your managers agreed because you guys became a popular ship and everyone wanted more of you guys <3
