Wall Street Journal: Women Executives Make Venture-Backed Companies More Successful
As we continue to observe the laser focus on women in this current election cycle, I wanted to share the findings of a new report, Women at the Wheel," commissioned by Dow Jones and covered in WSJ's Venture Capital Dispatch blog.
The study didn't cover why it found that having female executive boosts the prospects of start ups but it noted the following: "companies have a greater chance of either going public, operating profitably or being sold for more money than they’ve raised when they have females acting as founders, board members, C-level officers, vice presidents and/or directors."
