Hi everyone! I’m going to show you today how you can describe someone’s appearance! So let’s start it! ♥
First of all you need to know necessary vocabulary connected with it. So:
a) Eyes - Oczy (singular: eye - oko)
blue eyes - niebieskie oczy
green eyes - zielone oczy
brown eyes - brązowe/piwne* oczy
red eyes - czerwone oczy
big eyes - duże oczy
small eyes - małe oczy
glasses - okulary (it doesn’t have singular form!)
dark eyes - ciemne oczy
* piwny (adjective for masculine) - it’s beer’s colour
b) Hair - Włosy
long hair - długie włosy
short hair - krótkie włosy
medium - lengthed hair - średnie włosy / włosy średniej długości
blond hair - blond włosy
black hair - czarne włosy
red hair - rude włosy
thick hair - grube włosy
thin hair - cienkie włosy
light hair - jasne włosy
dark hair - ciemne włosy
c) Height - wzrost
tall - wysoki (male) / wysoka (female)
short - niski (male) / niska (female)
d) The others - inne
wear ring/rings - nosić pierścień/pierścienie (infinitive)
wear earings - nosić kolczyki (it’s infinitive too)
I don’t want to give you too much new words, so I think it’s enough for now ♥
And It’s Grammar-Time! Look below, there is how you have to use the verb: ,,have”
to have - mieć
Ja mam (I have) My mamy (We have)
Ty masz (You have) Wy macie (You have for plural!)
On ma (He has) Oni mają (They have for masculine!)
Ona ma (She has) One mają (They have for feminine)
To ma ( It has)
Ok, Now it’s time for knowing new phrases:
a) I have .... + something (use accusative!) - Ja mam + coś (użyj biernika!)
for example: Mam niebieskie oczy* - I have blue eyes
One mają krótkie włosy - They have short hair.
b) My something is + adjective - Mój (masculine) / Moja (feminine) /
Moje (neuter) jest
My hair are red - Moje włosy są rude
My eyes are green - Moje oczy są zielone
c) I am - Jestem
Jestem wysoki/wysoka - I’m tall (male/female)
* plural adjectives and nouns don’t changes in Accusative! (I’m not sure if it is always but I’m sure it happens very very very often (I don’t remember any situation when it does not and I’m Polish). It’s great news, isn’t it?
Next time I’ll show you possessive pronouns and variation of the verb: ,,nosić” (wear). And if you want I can show some adjectives for masculine, feminine, neuter and plural nouns (for example: )
( masculine feminine neuter plural translating )
( zielony zielona zielone zielone green )

zielony kwiat (m) - green flower
zielona trawa (f) - green grass
zielone dziecko (n) - green child
zielone warzywa (p) - green vegetables
