I like verdof in general, both tragic and funny, but I can’t get enough of a certain dynamic in fanart: normally Vergo is this super stoic, weird, and brutal guy, he comes across as a stone-cold killer… but then the moment he sees Doffy he goes all ❤️❤️❤️✨🌸🥰🌸✨❤️❤️❤️ 😘🫶

Like, he’s a completely different person, and that’s how Doffy knows him. I find it hilarious.

And then, his own image of Doflamingo is also full of completely rose-tinted chivalrous adoration. Doflamingo can stab someone to death with one hand and sell slaves with the other, and Vergo would just sigh dreamily and think that his king is the most dashing man in the world with the sweetest smile.
