define “socially appropriate” times djaksjska i laughed too much bro with the Casey Frey ‘GOMF’ meme
because I’m a pedant for the dumbest shit, i gotta explain in detail
‘weird wiggle’ is like... my idle animations/walk cycle. i think they’ve become over-exaggerated in the past decade (decade jfc) or so in my friend group bc we like to mock of each other and then mimic each others’ mimics... and through this positive feedback loop we unironically start adopting the ‘worst’ versions of ourselves
each animation has associated settings/uses:
1. the hallway scuttle/stair bounce walk cycle
- walking in the transition areas of my home
- returning from a ‘serious’ event (post-meeting/conference/formal gathering)
- conveys levity and lack of urgency vs typical ‘srs-militant-elephant-stomps’
2. the unruly starburst
- when i want to break free
- i want to break free
- my bf needs a quick way to see from his periphery that i need real outside
- funny to mess up my friends’ beds (and they do the same to mine)
3. little raccoon hands, naughty skeleton hands, finger wiggling
- when i get to do ‘things’ (implies that they are mischievous and/or fun)
- acceptable when assigned to fun work or to give a verbal smackdown
- when things go according to keikaku (professionally)
- when asked to spill the tea (personally, professionally, academically)
4. synchro-wiggle calibration
- when waiting for a thing/food/late friend
- one person starts, and everyone joins in to ensure group harmony
- checking in if everyone is still vibin’/ok/not hangry
5. the double-pendulum swagger (my bf called me out for forgetting this)
- either very happy to go somewhere or i don’t fucking wanna go
- appropriate anywhere that has a low population density
- basically most of outside due to quarantine
- (idgaf i’ll waddle around however i want it’s my right as a tax-paying citizen)
