the Vermont state history museum has a video about the three big civil rights issues (slavery, suffrage, and civil unions/gay marriage), and has staged reenactments of the debates shot on location in their state house which has looked the same since the 1850s I am L I V I N G
Am now officially a Vermonter!
I can tell I'm welcome here because the air itself is lovingly hugging me with oppressive mugginess \o/

Don't pronounce any of the French words properly. Soft serve is called a creemee here. It is totally legal to leave your house topless in Montpelier if youre a lady (taking your shirt of once your out is a no-no tho).
Oh, coffee. In Montpelier there is Capitol grounds, Barre espresso bueno (mmmmm maple lattes). Most places have wifi. The savoy plays all the good movies and they serve beer.
LMAO waaait so you can walk out of your house without a shirt, but you can't remove your shirt once you've left your house?? Is this just some obscure law that made sense in the 1920s somehow?
MAPLE LATTES. WHAT. OMG I forgot that I was moving to like the maple syrup capital of America. SCORE.
