I love the headcanon of jades getting lusii in the caverns. Like.....Boe's lusus (CatMom) was an older lusus that didn't pick a charge from the trials and instead wandered into the caverns and picked Boe. Storme's lusus was an older bearded dragon that wanted a place to stay and stuck around. I imagine jades who do get lusii get a lot of bats or bugs since they're in caverns. Nori has a bat lusus! And Veroix is the oddball, they have a butterfly cat lusus akdnskdn Butters left to find a new charge when Veroix was comfortable out of the caverns tho.

Veroix likes to feed stray cats outside the caverns! And when they go out shopping for the cavern, they usually get trailed by a bunch of strays because they "accidentally" drop treats. That way they aren't alone as they walk!
In my defense Veroix *does* look like they have the bastard ability.
I imagine they have the capability to be bastard but choose instead to be blessed
