I don’t think it’s important at all to be honest. Not for the love and the relationship. It’s “Til the End of the Line” not “Til Whenever You Start Insisting on Switching.”
If you’re asking why I tag or categorize for it, that’s because:
a lot of people prefer to only read one or the other and filter for it, and I’m not here to police them about why that might be;
sometimes you just wanna look for a certain dynamic, nothing wrong with preferences; and
you gotta take into account that people do often identify with one character more than the other, and if I have a reader that—for example—wants to see the world through Bucky’s eyes but maybe also experiences dysphoria or trauma issues related to being penetrated, you bet your ass I am going to tag for #Bottom Bucky to make sure they know what’s up.
