I've been a bit inactive (or not quite posting so much) for a while because I'm swamped with work and requests from students but I needed to share something....
QUICK PSA: This blog isn't for any political purposes or questions or whatever. For example, you don't have to be a Christian to enjoy the beauty of cathedrals and Christian architecture. You also don't have to like a country or agree with them for you to enjoy the archeological sites that come from certain places. So whatever your view is on religions, politics, countries or what have you . . . this is not the place. People on here are from all different backgrounds, cultures, countries and religions and we all have one thing in common, when we like the tumblr blogs that shares the same things as my blog. This place unites us with our niches, our vibes, our hobbies, our appreciation etc., regardless of where or what it is. With that being said, I do not condone what's going on in the world. With wars, with some things, but just because I don't agree or do agree, doesn't mean we need to put aside the main objective of being human. Just because people don't agree with the middle east doesn't mean we can't appreciate ancient sites or artifacts, the same goes for the Roman Empire and their archeological finds, or what about Russia and their Byzantine architecture that still stands. Whether you're a Christian, appreciating the beauty of the Ottoman's structures or you're a pagan that loves the art of Orthodox Christianity. You can be of any stance in any which way you want, you are allowed to like, love, enjoy and show interest in things that aren't within your additional label or sphere.
So this place, I'll repeat it again, is a safe space for anyone. This is a space where we appreciate the old, beautiful, the unique, the love of knowledge, of aesthetics, of things we see ourselves in. This is not a political space. You can believe what you want, you can think what you want, you can agree or disagree with anything of this world that you want, but it has no place here because it's not about that. This place is a great example of how many people can reblog, become mutuals and even friends in the outside world, regardless if they don't have the same views or opinions because at the end of the day we're all human and we can be civil with people of our own. And yes you can have your own people without them having the same opinion as you. How boring would this world be if we as human beings can't even be civil and get along because of evil things that tries to drive a wedge between us all.
This blog is to bring people together who like the same stuff and realise we all have more in common with each other than we think. And human connection (just as the past shows us) is more important to maintain than throwing everything out about someone or something just because of one simple disagreement. That is why I always emphasise that this blog is and will always be a safe space to bring lovers of anything and everything together no matter your background, religion, belief, culture, region etc. That is also why I state that I will not tolerate hate and bullying, whether it be against me or against fellow people in the comments or who reblogs. This is not a place for political speeches, or hate towards religions or beliefs.
If you agree with me, that we are humans and as my blog and many other similar blogs show, our human race (with it's bad in between) can and is and will always create and be beautiful no matter what happens to us, then like this post and reblog it. The evil is out there yes, but here we shall be a remembrance to everyone else of how amazing our history, stories, objects, time periods, clothing, and anything else that makes us human, are. Everyone is welcome here. Period.
That is all.
*I will be posting again in a few weeks after the busy season is over.
