YOU d o not tneed the fork for a meal to be eaten, I do not require such and Neighetr Should you                            The spoon can do many a thing without the need for a fork the world has no want for one despite theRequirement of holding something in place, if your spoon has slipped then you did not carve well enough    dig better, a spoon use is more better than a fork           the spoon is its own extension of a plate where food is held, The Fork does not fit this as it is pronged no bowl, flsat surface minor space . 

Spaghetti? Spoon

Ramen? Spoon

Big Meat? Spoon (Knife cannot be ignored)

The Bowl is one such thing like a spoon but no handle, but bigger in capacity and just as useful in its own right (a fork is useless)(  See here [Examples 12.a 13.c 17.ab 2.h] 

If So desiered the spoon can take place as a knife of sorts should edge be sharpened, such combination would need less work for a knife to supplement the glory of a spoon (sporks are an abomination as it needs the combination of a fork to fullfill its form making it undesireable in the hands of many
