This Keshava temple, situated in the quiet, small, and largely unknown village of Aralaguppe in the Tumkur district of Karnataka, was constructed in the 13th century during the Hoysala period. The shikara seen is in four tiers of the Versara type, which is famously observed at the Belur, Halebidu and Somnathpura temples. This temple is now considered as a heritage site to be preserved and is still religiously active, with a pujari who notices anyone entering the premises from his home down the road, ready to preform the rites of his role.
