Portrait inspired by a fic written by a friend. A story in which my resident Malkavian Hollis walks into a Dream hosted by their long waiting and long suffering Kiyasid/Changeling/??? Caradoc:

C: “You’re Morgan’s, aren’t you?”

H: “I — How do you know?”

A careless flick of his wrist.

C: “Asking the wrong questions runs in the blood.” He tilts his head again, to the other side. “I wonder — do you dance as well as she?”

H: “Listen.” They say, hand opening and closing into a fist beside them. “I don’t understand exactly what is happening right now, but what do you want?”

C: “There you go,” He uncrosses his arms, spreads his hands supplicant up to the ceiling. “The wrong question. I am not the wanting party — you are.”

📚Lore Drop: A former detective who survived being “disposed of” by Camarilla ghouls for discovering vampires, Hollis was found and brought back by a Malkavian nearby. They’ve spent their unlife learning that justice is rarely to be found in those institutions claiming to uphold it.
