Following the expectations of his father, Noctis Lucis Caelum presented at the age of 18 as an Alpha.
He was supported through his first rut with the various preparations that had been made in the background and the presentation was celebrated the following week. For Noctis, the influx of hormones, scents and emotions was difficult to deal with and he sought the assistance of weak suppressants to help him.Quickly a resistance training was added to his regime: consisting of building his tolerance up to the point that he no longer needed the suppressants and could control himself for as long as necessary to remove himself for a situation with a Omega in heat.
In this time, he proposed a weak pack bond between his best friend, his shield, and his advisor. It was stronger than expected, but nothing more for the time being.
His marriage and planned mating with Lunafreya Nox Fleuret was entirely planned by his father and the diplomats planning for a treaty between Lucis and Niflheim. Noctis swallowed his protests and accepted for his Kingdom, and the month long trip to Altissia was made for the marriage. In preparation Noctis began taking rut suppressants for the trip, and worked on building his bond with the three that would be accompanying him.
Unfortunately, the suppressants and bonds did little to lessen the grief-driven rage after the fall of Noctis’ kingdom, and all thoughts of the marriage or mating were at the back of Noctis’ mind for some time. Eventually, as the days past and he was able to sleep off much of his rage, Noctis came back to himself and was able to plan what he wanted to do for his Kingdom, and himself.
