❝ Art is a journey as they say but this is one helluva shitty journey. ❞
At age 18, Matsukawa was effectively tossed out of his home by his parents ( mostly his father ) who declared his dreams useless and that they would not fund his endeavors. Despite being an excellent painter and sculptor, he was unsupported by his family and shoved out of the name entirely, disowned. However he keeps his name simply because he’s unwilling to change his signature and website.
His art is diverse but he prefers not to draw people, instead focusing more on the beautiful scenery around a vague humanoid shape. His use of expressive colors is easily telling and it is for the bold or timid coloring that his art is particularly loved as it can fit different aesthetics. He often pays for his paints with sales or commissions. His sales prices are simple and affordable enough however for commissions, he requires that the commissioner offer him a place to stay as well, be it their own home or a hotel. Commissions usually last approximately two months though he can push it if he needs to. His art commission is of the philosophy: Cheap, good and fast. Pick two.
He has traveled to France and the other European zones to paint and has now made a fair living. Generally humbled, he is kind and does help out the homeless. Among them, he is considered a friend to anyone and thanks to that, he hasn’t been mugged yet.
Miscellaneous:
His signature is just his initials scrawled on.
He often eats at soup kitchens but will buy ingredients for them as food in Europe is expensive.
At the moment he resides in Paris.
He spends a lot of time in the Louvre as a volunteer.
His common mediums are charcoal, pencil, and pen over paint.
Once he used a cut on his finger and smeared paint like that. Just once. He disinfected that cut seriously later.
