“Don’t touch me!”

It was early afternoon as Ken walked through the forest in the digital world with Wormmon.The two had just destroyed a few control spires in the area,where they were at and decided it was about time that him and wormmon took a small break before moving onto the next location.While two walked the ex-digimon emperor came across a small vending machine that had some caned soda inside along with a few candy bars.”How about we get ourselves a small snack?”Ken asked his friend.As he noticed Wormmon agree on the idea,the ex-digimon emperor placed a couple coins in the vending machine and out came two sodas along with some candy bars.

But just as Ken was about to take the treats out of the machine,his ears picked up on a familiar voice screaming in the distance.”That sounded like Hikari!”he said with worry in his voice,and without a second thought he began to run towards where he heard Hikari’s distressful screaming.

When Ken arrived at the scene he noticed Hikari was alone and there didn’t seem to be any sign of the other digidestained that she normally traveled around with in the digital world.Or any sign of any evil digimon trying to attack her.”Hikari…it’s me Ken,are you alright?”he asked slowly raising a hand then placing it gently on her shoulder with some hesitation.

Just after a second with his hand on Hikari’s shoulder,the ex-digimon emperor wasn’t long taking his hand off her right shoulder when he heard her scream telling him not to touch her.Deep down Ken wasn’t sure on how to help her because he had no idea what was wrong with her.His eyes searched for Hikari’s digimon partner Tailmon,but even she couldn’t be spotted anywhere in the area.

“Come and get me, nerds!”

“I can’t believe how late I am…”Ken said silently to himself while he ran out of the train station with Wormmon in his arms,the ex-digimon emperor was running late due to an accident that accured close to his apartment building and the police and fire department wouldn’t allow anyone in the area to leave until the mess was cleaned up.

Finally after some delays Ken arrived at Daisuke’s home and stood outside in the hallway while knocking twice before realizing that the door was open half way.Stepping inside the ex-digimon emperor kneeled down to place Wormmon on the floor so he could remove his shoes off his feet,before stepping farther inside.”Hey Daisuke?”he called out to alert the other digidesteined that he finally arrived.But so far Ken didn’t receive any reply from the other.All he could hear was the tv full blast and Daisuke calling some monsters nerds from a video game he was playing,while also telling them to come at him.

With a light sigh escaping Ken walked to the living room with Wormmon following close behind.”The whole digital could be in chaos and here you are playing video games…”he said with a light sigh escaping to show Daisuke he was standing right behind him.Because he didn’t think the other noticed his presence yet.

“I never thought I would have to do something like this.”

Hearing Hikari’s words Ken couldn’t help but to lower his eyebrows with a sadden expression appearing on his face.Himself,Hikari and the other digidesteined had to destroy a non control spire made digimon because,it was it was causing destruction to a small village where a small group of infant Digimon were living.

With a light sigh escaping the ex-digimon emperor walked up to his friend and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.”We didn’t…have any other choice.”Ken said to Hikari while he let his hand fall from her shoulder,while his gaze turned to the other four troubled digidesteined.”If we allowed him to escape I’m sure he would have caused trouble else where…”he explained softly to her.

“Are you asleep?”

“Hmm…?”Ken groaned as his eyes slowly began to open when he heard a familiar voice asking if he was asleep,slowly the ex-digimon emperor turned on his back so his movements wouldn’t wake Wormmon,who was sleeping close to him.Once he became a little more awake Ken sat up in his sleeping bag,and told Miyako that he was asleep with a light nod.He knew something may have been bothering her,for Miyako to see if he was sleeping.”Is everything alright?”the ex-digimon emperor asked in a whispering tone,so his voice wouldn’t wake the other digi-destined,that were all gathered by the campfire sleeping peacefully.

It had been a few hours since Ken and the other digidestined had made their escape from another one of Arukenimon’s traps.During the battle the spider-like digimon had created a powerful digimon from another control spire,but this time him and the others had never seen such a type of digimon before.So they weren’t to sure on how to defeat it.Even though they didn’t know how to defeat the unknown control spire made digital monster,Ken and the others had decided to stay and fight because who knew what type of damage it could cause to the digital world.As it grew more angrier it decided to make Ken and Stingmon it’s first victims,but luckly it wasn’t able to land an attack on the ex-digimon emperor due to Stingmon taking the attack instead.After sometime had passed they were able to take down the powerful new Digimon that Arukenimon created.While the small group of kids walked so they could find some shelter to rest up after a long difficult battle.Ken noticed that Wormmon was acting strange,his partner kept falling behind as they traveled.Growing concerned the ex-digimon emperor picked his partner up in his arms while asking his friend if he was alright.“Wormmon are you alright?”he asked but his eyes wasn’t long noticing that he was injured from the battle.Instintally Ken stopped walking in order to get the groups attention.”We need to find shelter quickly!”he said in a loud voice so the others who were in deep conversation could hear him.At first the other digidestined only blinked with confussment on their faces,but after noticing that he was right they found some shelter and tended to Wormmon’s injury.After along while when Ken knew that his partner was going to be alright,he decided to step outside in order to get his thoughts together,knowing that he had to be strong when he was around Wormmon.Knowing his friend wouldn’t want to see him looking so sad.As the ex-digimon emperor walked down to the lake that was near by where they were keeping shelter at,his eyes lifted up from staring down at the ground to notice Miyoko was already down at the lake.There was silence between the two as Ken stared down at the lake infront of him.But suddenly he wasn’t long looking up at Miyako,when he heard her telling him to stop pretending to be ok.”Miyako…?”he said in a shakened voice almost losing his calm conposer,as he heard her shout at him.Slowly Ken let his head drift to the ground ,while his hair hung over his face with his shoulders beginning to shake to show Miyako how terrified he was to almost losing Wormmon for a second time.

Osamu and Wormmon's death is your fault

On anon, send things you think will make my muse angry.Get them so mad, they’ll cry!A look of gullt appeared on Ken’s face when he heard the Anon accuse him of being responsible for both Osamu and Wormmon’s death.Shaking his head with his eyes quinching shut.He knew that he couldn’t denine that he was responsible for his Digimon partner’s death,but the ex-digimon emperor knew that he had nothing to do with his older brother’s death.It was the man that hit Osamu with their car fault.

“I-I can’t denine that wormmon’s death…was my fault…“But as for Osamu…it was the man that hit with his car fault."He tried so hard to believe that he was not responsible for his brother’s death,but sometimes he wondered if Osamu would still be alive if he never wished him to dissapear.Ken remembered on how jealous and sad he’d get when his parents payed more attention to his older brother and almost completely ignoring him all because the Neighbors would praise about how smart he was.

Ken couldn’t help but to blink with his eyebrows lowering when he heard Mimi say out loud that the cookies he made for the group tasted terrible.But deep down the ex-digimon emperor had a feeling that they may have tasted a little off because when he offered one to his parents and Wormmon to try out,they only ate half of the baked sweets saying that they tasted fine but they couldn’t eat anymore because they were still full from dinner.

“I thought so…”Ken said with a light sigh escaping while his eyes drifted down to the container of uneaten cookies that were sitting beside him on his spot of the picnic blanket.
