They wear so much out of preference and out of necessity. Earth is far more overstimulating than their home world and their senses would constantly be overwhelmed if they didn't wear layers to dampen all of the sights, smells, and noises. Not to mention they know their heavily scarred appearance scare most. Although their many scars frighten most, their are those who are unaffected. In fact, their scars seem to have quite the opposite affect on Zahir.

Their head turns in his direction as they hear him approach. However they don't even get a word out before he steps into their space. Teeth catch on their lower lip, softly nipping before he kisses them in earnest. A marred hand comes to cradle his cheek as their lips part. "Impatient man," they murmur, although their 'scolding' sounds more like an confession of amusement than true criticism. They kiss him again, fingertips shifting to curl into his ponytail all the while. This time they only part when they feel a familiar burning in their lungs.
