@siriusi
even if lily assured him he had no reason to be, remus was terrified. he kept playing finger football with a sugar packet, sliding it back and forth across the wooden table, all bundled up in a scarf and a coat that swallowed his skinny body whole. the outdoor café sat halfway between the uni dorms and the bar where sirius played, and it sold remus’ favourite brand of dark chocolate. he put a square in his mouth, focusing on the sensation as it melted between his tongue and hard palate, his coffee warming his hands against the numbing cold. despite the temperature, the sky was a vibrant blue– remus only noticed when he saw sirius coming up the block. he grinned instinctively, waving a long arm at him, even as apprehension thrashed in his gut. after all, it would be a relief to finally admit his secrets, if only to remove their power over him.
