"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." - Hebrews 10:23 (NIV) Clinging to and relying on God's faithfulness is about the only real guarantee we have in this life, and we should be reminded of this during such uncertain times. Regardless of where we are in life or where we struggle, or even if we lack faith, His faithfulness remains consistent. All throughout Scripture we are reminded of God's faithfulness and love for us; it never changes. He is a man of His word and faithful to carry out each and every one of His promises — He will never let us down and yet we put our hope, faith, and trust in ourselves or other things when we've been proven time and time again that they do not fulfill our needs or even follow through. Ask God for help, for grace, for peace, for comfort, for stability, for strength! Ask Him for discipline... to sustain you, give you discernment, ask for hope or (more) faith — there is nothing God cannot do nor overcome in your life so do not limit His capability based on your understanding of what you are able to do. Let Him work through you and for you... He wants to! And believe in what you pray for! Why? I've been let down more times than I care to remember, and I know I've done my share of letting people down (sometimes completely oblivious, which is probably worse) - that is why it's so important to put our hope in the one who will never let us down - JESUS!! Does this mean life will be easier? No, not necessarily. In fact, it may even be more difficult at times and that is when our faith, that we also profess, is tested. If life were easy, comfortable, and always consistent then we'd never grow. We would never appreciate the richness of grace without the adversity we face in this world. So we choose to hold onto Jesus, unswervingly - in a constant & steadfast motion - regardless of all the waves of life that crash alongside of us. [AU] Role Reversal {Matt & Katherine}

Katherine had never been an average girl, not by any account. Ever since she had been young, she had always longed to travel, to see and experience everything the world had to offer. She was somewhat of a free spirit, always looking for a new adventure, a new place to run to. Stability had never suited her well, she was much more accustomed to stepping outside the box. She did not necessarily misbehave, but her antics often got her into trouble. These traits were what made her the opposite from the majority of girls in Mystic Falls. Katherine opted for a more striking, different appearance, hair hair worn in big, bouncy curls which fell down the length of her back, her makeup was often a tad maturer than her friends. Her taste in fashion also different her from others, she preferred stylish, flattering clothing, leather jackets, skinny jeans, jewelry and heels whilst many others opted for comfy sweaters, boot-cut jeans and converse. But that was the beauty of a small town like Mystic Falls, it was rather easy to stand out, to differ from the norm, to step of the path you were expected to follow, something she loved to do. 

Tonight was the night of one of Mystic Falls high schools many dances. Katherine had spent no more than thirty minutes indoors before she had slipped out, quickly becoming bored, she had experienced far too many high school dances exactly like the one which currently took place. Tonight was a Halloween party and whilst Katherine rather favored her costume, she soon decided to give the party a miss. The female slipped out of the backdoor and headed outside, still sporting her vampire costume which mainly consisted of a lace dress with a corset style top, heels, a large amount of fake blood and of course, a pair of false fangs which she removed from her teeth as she walked. The night air was cold and so the female took a seat on a nearby wall, hugging her petite frame with one arm for warmth whilst she pulled out the flask concealed in her costume and took a large swig from it, smiling at the burn of alcohol from within.
