[ Puppy eyes ]
[ Emma winced and grimaced before placing down the coffee cup, it was far too strong and lacked any ounce of sugar. This certainly was not her vanilla latte with extra foam. ]
"Something tells me they've given me your order, dear."
"What on Earth are you wearing?"
"You better have a mighty fine reason for waking me up."
Heal | Scott + Emma
Well, that was a surprise — was first thing that came to Emma's mind as she finally allowed herself to open her eyes after the horrors that previously been inflicting on her. The blonde would have groaned if she could at that thought, she hated surprises. They were threatening and uncontrollable, everything she loathed. Another thing she loathed as the feeling on wet grass on her skin... that was something else she was currently wishing would go away.
But she couldn't do anything to change it. Instead she just lay there on the earthy-smelling greens, just looking dazzlingly up at the diamond speckled sky. Why me? — was the next thought. And then the next... and the one after that. They repeated in her mind like a mantra as she fell further and further into self-pity. Her body ached severely and mind felt unusually numb to it all, the physical pain was dull compared to one in her mind.
Despite what it may look like, the reasoning to why she refused to move was not because she was afraid of the damage her body was currently holding but because of the state of her thinking. She could feel it — emotion — all of them... all at once. It was all so overwhelming and nauseating that it kept her locked onto the ground. Maybe if she didn't move than her body would revert itself back into it's diamond form. But she stayed so frighteningly human. So weak.
Emma coughed forcefully in vain, her chest heaving at the suspected blood that burned at her throat. Her legs twitched in union and she felt them creak and crack. Damn it, she would really have to move soon. Despite not feeling like her body was her own... it was and she would not let it deteriorate any further. Everything around her was dark and cold but Emma could sense another mind close by... many actually. But one was more searching like her won.
Long, gasped breathed left the bloodied blonde's lips. "H-h...hello?" She edged her head back to where the warm light was coming from. Down on the grass she couldn't see what it was, but it felt good. "Y-you're... not going... to keep me— waiting here all night are y-you?" She choked out, before wincing but she quickly masked her features. She could be on the brink of death but Emma Frost was not going to show whomever was near that she was scared.
She would die before she let that happen.
