Nella City con alle spalle il grattacielo TOWER 42 Amarcord del tour di agosto 2017 (#AgostoLondraTour) x #Londra #SelfieLondon #SelfieInLondon #Tower42 è stato tra i primi grattacieli ad essere costruiti nella capitale britannica e fu inaugurato l'11 giugno del 1980 dalla regina Elisabetta II. #London #City #CityOfLondon #SquareMile Costruito per la #NationalWestminsterBank il Tower 42 consta di cinquantadue piani. Devastato da un attentato nel 1993, è stato in gran parte ricostruito. Con i suoi 183 metri è stato a lungo l'edificio più alto del Regno Unito fino al 1990 quando è stato superato sia dal #OneCanadaSquare che dall'#8CanadaSquare. Nel 2011 con la fine della costruzione della #HeronTower (alta 230 metri) Tower 42 è diventata la seconda torre più alta della City. Nel 2014, terminato il #122LeadenhallStreet (meglio noto col nome di #Cheesegrater e alta 225 metri) il Tower 42 è diventato il terzo grattacielo più alto della City e l'ottavo nell'intera città di Londra. Al 24° piano vi è un ristorante mentre al 42° livello è ubicato il famoso #Vertigo42, un noto ed elegante stylish champagne bar che offre una vista panoramica mozzafiato su tutta Londra.
