May is Mental Health Awareness month in the US, and as someone who struggles with an anxiety and depressive disorder, I want to say how much I relate to the final scene of episode 8 in season 4. The way Lucifer describes his problem is so spot-on with how it quite often feels to be depressed: "I find it impossible to drown out the cacophony of voices telling me I'm evil. I'm drowning! Why do I hate myself so much?!" The desperation, the pain...  

I don't really know why I'm posting this, other than I just re-watched that scene, cried a bit, and wondered if I'm the only one who relates. I suppose it would make sense that I'm not, and I'm sure people without depression can sympathize to some extent, but I feel it hits home even more for those of us who struggle with mental health issues on a daily basis.

I guess this has been your Mental Health Awareness PSA for the day.
