This is what happened at Family Meeting Time this week
by Joyce Slaton posted in Mom Stories Phil is making grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, so things are already on the table when I breeze in, having been lying in the darkened bedroom arguing on Facebook. I'm singing "She's a maniac, maaaaaaniac for suuuuuure" idly and he breaks in: "Hey, I got those pint glasses... Read more » Want to get the full story? Click on the headline above. 5 newborn-baby worries I had that turned out OK years later
by Joyce Slaton posted in Mom Stories I've been blogging about my 9-year-old daughter, Violet, for BabyCenter her entire life. It's a strange thing to be able to read through your own history as a parent; it's almost like being able to observe yourself from afar, watching yourself struggle through something. Maybe it's like Future... Read... Want to get the full story? Click on the headline above. And thanks for reading the BabyCenter Blog. http://bit.ly/1r2fvSo

by Joyce Slaton posted in Mom Stories Chris Cook's post, Growing up and how to stop it, really got to me, because I remember so well how I felt when my one-and-only daughter, now 9, was aging out of the baby stage. I cried every year on her birthday. I wrote her moony letters about... Read more » Want to get the full story? Click on the headline above. Then I'd get a cry-headache. Then it was all the harder to pretend to be all smiles for... Read more » Want to get the full story? Click on the headline above. My daughter kept telling me I'm embarrassing, and so I cried
by Joyce Slaton posted in Mom Stories Everyone was slumped over at dinner, tired and thrown off from the first "spring forward" day of Daylight Savings Time, so Phil suggested we take a walk after. Like everyone else, we hate getting up an hour earlier, but the extra light in the evening is nice. By... Read more » Want to get the full story? Click on the headline above. The older my daughter gets, the more I like her
by Joyce Slaton posted in Mom Stories "Scoot over," I nudge her on the couch. "C'mon, share the couch with Mommy." She pushes herself against the back of the couch. "Here. Now you lay over here." She puts her head against one end, I take the other, and our legs mingle together under the cover... Read more » Want to get the full story? Click on the headline above. MATCHY
Yep, today I was that girl who matched her eyeliner to her top. This is Revlon Luxurious Color Matte Eye Liner in Very Violet and it gave just a hint of the shade on my lower lashline. Not too tacky.
