Stylized digital illustration of my original character, a Kotie named Vewis. The Pyramid/Tower is a tool that Koties use for mental communication, and the illustration symbolizes the fear and struggle Vewis experiences with this.
If there is a sapient and social species with a complex way of communicating, then there are also fears and struggles associated with it. Kotie's communication involves telepathy-like mental contact, which allows them to communicate without words - sounds nice but can actually be terrifying. It exposes your very heartbeat to the entire universe if you get it wrong, at the same time overwhelming you with thousands of flows. Lack of skills is not welcomed at best and is dangerous at worst. And… well, the Towers are complex and scary indeed. Vewis never learned to use them properly.
I continue my experiments with stylized things, and this time I tried some more decorative and simple stylization. I think it fits Vewis well.
