heres an excerpt from my doc about his family

Vex is a witch who works as an inventor at the Magistratum. Flirty, dirty, and no where near thirty, Vex is always working on one project or another, most of which are likely to explode. While not as high ranking as any of the Magistrates, Vex still has… some value. At the very least, they designed and manufactured most special weapons used by the high-ranking knights and augurs. Why does he work as an inventor? His magic, of course! Vex’s magic is labelled as reverse, and it’s very much what it says on the tin. He reverses the state in which an object is up to five minutes into the past(it doesn’t work on people). For example, he tends to throw things across his workshop when he gets mad, and then three minutes later, he’ll use his magic to bring it back to him when he needs it. They mostly use it to reverse time to before their inventions explode and fix it before it blows up again.

As a kid, Vex lived with his uncle and brothers, Axel, Sam and Zak. He was the youngest… as well as the only one with magic. They knew their family, at least their uncle and oldest brother, were highly supportive of The Jury, so they packed his bags and ran. It didn’t take long to find refuge in the Magistratum, all Vex had to do was follow an augur around everywhere until he was eventually brought back with them and provided a home.

Visiting Vex’s workshop is normally labelled as “quite the experience.” Everything is everywhere, but hey, he manages. He also manages the “burden of being bisexual” as he says (WHY IS EVERYBODY HOT??)
