EFFECTS PEDALS
This is the Boss Slow gear. It came out the year I was born, 1979, but discontinued somewhere in the eighties. It creates a volume swell resulting in tones like a violin or cello.
Amplitube http://www.ikmultimedia.com/ has a pedal built in called Swell. It does the same thing as the Slow Gear and I quickly fell in love with it. At 1:58 you can hear the first thing I recorded w/ it:
<a href="http://4bands4albums.bandcamp.com/track/sanders-demo" _mce_href="http://4bands4albums.bandcamp.com/track/sanders-demo">Sanders - Demo by 4Bands4albums</a>
It also has Tube Screamer, Delay, and A harmonizer. The track needs work but I like where it’s going.
The Slow Gear costs hundreds of dollars now so I looked for a solution and found this company: http://www.vfepedals.com/
They make this pedal: http://www.vfepedals.com/VFE_Pedals/Bumblebee.html
Problem solved. VFE makes amazing pedals. Sadly I don’t own any of these pedals but what’s life without goals. It’s probably a good thing that I’m broke because if I had these pedals I would just become “That crazy man who makes the weird noises”. I’d never leave my apartment and live off Thai food and beer delivered by Yummy.com.
Here is an example of VFE Pedal by Jetcitymusic.com.
Jet City in my humble and overbearing opinion makes the best Product/Pedal Demos on youtube. Usually you sit through someone’s “favorite new riff” and I don’t understand the demos that are just solos or blues riffs. I want to hear some Palm Muting in a Distortion demo not a Guitar Center Solo.
Jet City plays songs you know that best fit the pedal.
Example using VFE Pedals:
VFE Pedals Fiery Red Horse Fuzz
It’s a supped up Big Muff so they play Soundgarden and The Melvins.
