What she says: I’m ok
What she means: Shannon’s story arc is tragic because she really didn’t want to be at that orgy and didn’t want Jerry in that way, and even the first time she showed up for a job at Bijou Music she was applying for a clerical position, not for a job in wardrobe, but no one listened to her--they just groomed her to become one of Jerry’s posse. And it was Jerry who ultimately corrupted her and now Shannon gets all the blame for controlling and protecting Brian’s/Tommy’s life and image, only because she was the only one who stayed with him all that time and through his transition into Tommy Stone. She must have really liked him for whoever he really is, and we don’t get to hear her side of the story on their relationship but it’s kinda too bad. All of them deserved so much better in life. Shannon would have been better off if she’d left Bijou Music on the first day, but she was too mousy and too nice to say No
