Why are 90% of your polls resulting with people never hearing the songs before

Could you maybe pick some titles people have heard about

99.9% of my posts are submitted by other users, I don't pick them :). I also created this blog with the intention of helping others (and myself) find new music, so I'm glad that most people haven't heard the songs before!

Hey, I’m just reaching out to people on Tumblr. You’ve probably heard of Jesus and God, but have you ever reached out to Jesus for problems in your life? Big or small. Not to make you uncomfortable, but did you know sin (in your life and other people’s lives) can really hurt you, it can make it feel like there is a void that is never satisfied. That void could be called a “God sized hole.” Sin sucks and not just in a cookie cutter way, but in a way that it feels like there is a decay within a person. They're not gone! Mod Rae and I have just been busy with life events. Once the current queue is ran up and before I start my backend restructuring vacation it's the first thing I'm going to be taking care of :).

I do check requests, but this is unlikely to happen because of the way I download the music (from khinsider, official youtube accounts, or several-year-old uploads with lots of views).

I've only gotten fooled by silvagunner twice :')

If you want to try and avoid the polls closing in like 10 seconds (which is INSANE btw) you could try maybe closing the polls after a set amount of time rather than a set number of responses? Like after 10 mins it closes or something

If I did that, I would easily get 1000+ responses, and then I wouldn't be able to open polls up again next month :'). I just limited the form to 100 responses and it filled when it did. I can't take more than that, because I can only post 150 songs a month, and I have to post 75/75 old and new submissions.

I've gotten a few asks related to the submission process, and I'm really sorry that some of you weren't able to get a submission in or even worse, still haven't been able to resubmit your purged song. I really really am. I'm always working on finding new solutions to make things the most fair and accessible for everyone, and I hope that I can keep making everything easier and more streamlined. I just thank you for your patience while dealing whatever the current system is.
